I am considering buying a tablet and an art program in order to CG and colour. Advise me - sizes, makes, which programs? :DDD (Prices'd be good too! :D)

For Christmas a few years ago, I got a small Wacom tablet that came with Painter Classic (and a few other programs I think). Both are pretty decent, and the whole thing cost about $100. My favorite computer art program, however, is Adobe Photoshop (not sure how much that's running for 'cause I cheated and got a bootleg copy).
