klenaI had a weekend filled with good things! A lot of chilling, some GLORIOUS weather that hit 27 yesterday and the return of October! For those not aware, October is one of my favourite months as it leads up to Halloween!! Also, since about 2005, I have been half-heartedly taking part in something ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kacfrog711 started called Dark Art October. Basically, it is a month of twisted fan art all through the month. Delicious.
This year I plan to be better! Last night I sat on the sofa with Dave, watching "Shaun of the Dead" (how perfect) and started to sketch. Sadly it hit midnight before the image was done but I sat up regardless and finished it. I even used colours. COLOURS. I KNOW! Markers, even! I'm actually really proud of it, even though the scanner destroyed it >:(
Lisa and burnt Alessa from Silent Hill 1. I have never properly played these games but I am so in love with them, TERRIFYING :D

In other happy making news, I am doing a bit of cosplay this month so I went out in the GLORIOUS SUNSHINE yesterday to do a bit of Charity Shop Buying. And it was amazing! As I mentioned tophilosiraptor, I got a handbag, belt, shirt, top, trenchcoat and jacket all for about £21. That's roughly $30. AH-MAZING. So I camwhored it up. With my webcam. Because I am vain like that.
Also, behold my random silly faces.

Spare nice handbag in case the one I used EVERY DAY OF LIFE finally gives up on me (don't give up on me bag ;___; mama denvir bought you for me ;__;)
white shirt which I will also be using for cosplaying! It's got really cute fold detailing and the smallest cutest buttons!
Purple checked shirt with attached purple vest top. I call this my Trixxy top. It is so fucking cute, I cannot wait to start wearing it!
Jacket! You can't really tell in the webcam photos but it's black and green-white-brown striped so it looks kinda military steam-punk. Apparently it's from the Debenhams Designer Collection. A gentleman in the shop walked past me and told me it fit me really well. Thanks man! Also, I had to get it after seeing this (ridiculously expensive, fuck me) jacket on eBay about 2 weeks ago:
FINALLY
My Flasher/Mac Trenchcoat. I have been looking for one of these for about 2 years and every one I saw either fit strangely or was stupidly expensive (£300 for a coat - fuck off!). So when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. It's a fantastic length too as it flares out and ends just about the knee, which gives it this really retro/classy look. I love it so much ♥
Also, I had realised, I have 3 coats I used when I go out. My black military style thigh-length coat that I use ALL THE TIME, a brown Bomber-style jacket and my LONG HEAVY winter military style coat. I needed lighter coats. That is my excuse, I am sticking to it. You will not hear me say otherwise.
What else have I done....OH YES. REMEMBER I TOLD YOU ALL ABOUT MY ZOMBIE MISBEHAVING? How could you forget? Well I woke up today and checked Facebook to have a message from one of my fellow zombies saying "you're famous!" plus another zombie tagging me in a photo. They used a photo they took of us in the lift as our Zombie Base Camp for The Independent on Sunday. OH MY GOD, I was so thrilled. I want a larger copy of the photo! We look awesome! Check it out for yourself:

Maybe this will work for you on turning down overpriced clothes so there's no later regret? XD

But I have some pretty solid limits when it comes to spending money on single items of clothing. The most expensive thing I've actually bought is my thigh high PVC boots and they were £52. MOST EXPENSIVE THINGS!
