on brighter news! The Academy Is... are playing in Leeds towards the middle of next month when I shall be back at university so hurrah for that! Plus Fall Out Boy are playing the UK in October and then Cobra Starship are playing Leeds in January. Hurrah and good times! I plan to see them all.

MY FANDOM BIRTHDAY APPROACHES!!! \o/

Now, for those who have not been around for very long (hi guys!), I started this idea about 2-3 years ago as my general fandom birthday. It began originally as a Harry Potter fandom birthday but I've moved beyond that now.

The Idea of the Fandom Birthday is this: I give you presents. As, like, a thank you for being my friend and being in my fandoms. And this year I am:
1) actually definitely around for it and have time to do the gifts
2) have an entire new bunch of people to love upon ♥
3) my darling wife waxrose is going on haitus very soon so i want this year to be special

Retelling myths with fandom characters!

Ooo ooo please. Please please please please pleeeeease. I love myths. Do something ARPG. That way it also forces you to get back into ARPG so you can post. :P

And FANMIXES. I love fanmixes. Make some. Of anything. Put your music player on shuffle and really listen to the lyrics. And when you hear a song that reminds you of a certain character/moment in a show or book, (and believe me it'll happen, like a sharp tug or if you don't think of it immediately some line or lyric will nag at you until you go back and say "Yes, yes this fits."). Take THAT fandom or character that you think of and then make a fanmix for it. (I.e. how Goodbye Midnight made me think Donna at the end of Journey's End. But now you can't use that, because I mentioned it. :P)

Also if you made a fanmix I would like that would be awesome, as I need some new music. Though I could get by for the rest of my life on TSS alone. XD

I had a silly thought, so I'll let you have it now! Picture this: The Olympics; Archery medal ceremony. First place and gold medal, goes to Fuu Hououji. Second place and silver medal to Aska of Fahren. Third place and bronze medal to Fay D. Flourite.

Above them, flags. I'm not sure what flag Fay would have, but Fuu would likely have Japan, or something invented for Cephiro (maybe something with Emeraude's crown upon it?) Aska would have the yin-yang symbol on red, since that seems to be Fahren's symbol. Fay... no idea, something Fay-like probably. Could even be Kurogane chibi face on a pink or pastel blue background.
