Okay, as hybrid_xisha knows, I have gone mad. Actually insane people? Why you ask? Why?

Well, it all began a few weeks ago. I came to Virginia and xylodemon wrote bandom!fic about My Chemical Romance. Now I quite like the band and LA reawakened my long silenced goth!girl inside and this fic, coupled with a brutal picspam attack that featured not only pretty MCR boys, but pretty boys in make-up and tattoos and lovely hipbones. Those not in the know? I love all these things. It is a vice. :( Which made me plunge into bandom. I have been listening to all their tunes and looking at pictures and bewailing to hybrid_xisha the mockery I will no doubt be suffering after revealing all this.

I find out that MCR are playing in New York when I'm there.

SPEAKING OF MADNESS RELATED THINGS! waxrose YOU ARE A BAD INFLUENCE ON ME!

How so? Well!

Letters to Iwo Jima came out in 2006 as did 3:10 to Yuma. Now! I am not dying about Clint Eastwood. I like him - I do! But I don't go out of my way to see his movies. Now - part of me was REALLY SPECIAL and thought these two movies were linked and you had to see one to understand the other, which, is complete bollocks! IS TRAGIC THAT I THOUGHT THIS. Yet there is a light in this tale.

Erica, my love, my light, got me into the WONDER that is Arashi and I have been flailing for about 3 weeks now due to it. And as I started reading up on them, I realised I vaguely knew about MatsuJun previous as two girls on my Japanese course adore Hana Yori Dango and we had a brief discussion about it in Japan. Erica also mentioned Nino being in a Hollywood movie. '\o/', thinks I, 'I will have to hunt this movie down!'

Only to discover it is Letters to Iwo Jima WHICH AMAZED ME BY BEING ON TV TONIGHT.

So I watched it because Nino was in it and I loved it. LOVED IT.

There is one particular shot that made my heart clench and the lighting was amazing and the look on Saito's face - confusion and numbness and shock and utterly lost - that I want. Badly.

Utter bandom!flail on my part.

And now, thanks to MOST OF YOU LOT ON MY F!LIST, I have what I believe to be a massive chunk of my student loan plotted out in expenditures - or, as I call it, my utter acceptance of commodity fetishism.

Now! In matters not related to fandom!flail but rather, another type of flail altogether - PARTY AT THE therenodaemis/isthatjamie COMPOUND TOMORROW - WOO HOO!

Nino said on a Shukudai-kun thing once that during the grenade-suicide thing in the cave, it was all done in CG so it was just a bunch of guys standing around, bonking themselves on the head with plastic egg-things and shouting "UWAAA~". He had trouble keeping a straight face, so most of the time you can't see his face because he's snickering into his helmet or something.

Oh, and did you notice the name of the town that Saigo is from? :DDD

\o\ \o/ /o/ WOO! I'm really glad I saw it! Donielle was sitting on the computer so I switched it on. Missed the first 20 minutes or so but spent the majority of the night watching it. It is amazingly well done.

Do you know what I love about you? The fact that I didn't mention what scene I was talking about and you fucking picked it up! We are obviously meant to be! It's the bit just after his commanding officer shoots himself in the head - the shot after. ♥

You're not mad at all, dear. I happen to have both of MCR's first 2 albums, and I absolutely love the second one - The Black Parade. I think it is an incredible concept album that tells a great story.

I've been meaning to pick up the comic book series that Gerard Way created and writes for called The Umbrella Academy. I've heard it's a great series.

Woo! I like knowing I'm not mad!...Well, madder. I don't have The Black Parade, just downloaded Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Although hybrid_xisha has told me it's good!

I had heard he wrote a comic series! He also writes the introduction notes on the Neil Gaiman inspired CD Where's Neil When You Need Him talking about how Gaiman inspired him and how he picked up Sandman in high school like I did which definitely warmed me up to him!

Oooh. You need to get The Black Parade. I actually like that album more than Revenge. It tells a story of a man who is dying of cancer and the whole album is reflections of his life and views before he dies. Incredible album. I can make you a copy while you are here if you like.

But - yes! I am willing to draw 'cause it makes me happy and I attempt to draw anything but I don't know what you like and so I can't say anything 'whoa' worthy or Rufus-worthy. :(
