MEME!

Everyone has things they journal about.

Everyone has things they don't journal about.

Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't journal about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: last movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on lima beans, favorite type of underwear, etc.

Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other! {Just understand that the answer might be "Nunya" or "I'll tell you in private."}

Feel free to ask more than one thing, by the way! Oh, and I'll most likely just reply to your question in a comment instead of making a separate post.

Plus, reposting the last one too! AS I WANT TO WRITE MORE DAMMIT

1. Comment with a title and a fandom
2. I will reply with a summary (or excerpt or snippet or whatever), the pairing, and at least the first paragraph.
3. Do it yourself! If you'd like.

UM... Cartoons. Not anime, just good old-fashioned cartoons: TV, movies, what you like and what you don't like. :B

I have no idea for this one. I suck at coming up with titles. XD

Alright then! Meme on cartoons!

I like cartoons. I loved Tom and Jerry when I was younger so, so much. My dad, my brother and I would all watch when we caught an episode on TV. During my younger days, I...can't remember watching a lot of cartoons, or at least, not regularly. I was a massive fan of Rainbow Brite though 'cause she was awesome and watched Animaniacs, Aladdin, the Simpsons, things like that. It's...actually really hard thinking about this because I don't really remember our afternoon shows before things like Pokemon and Digimon and stuff! Isn't that strange?

I've always liked animation though, I adore the Simpsons and Futurama which I think is part of the reason why I adore anime so much. Or at least, why I gave it an opportunity when Pokemon started showing...when was that, I think it was about 1998-9 in the UK?

And Disney movies. I ♥ Disney movies but...well, I haven't really watched many in recent years, since they started branching more in CGI territory. Probably after Toy Story 2, I guess! But the earlier Disney movies from my childhood like Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty and Mulan and Lion King and the like were and still things I always crave to watch, especially when I'm ill for some reason! But Disney movies still hold a place in my heart ♥

Wooo, Tom and Jerry was awesome! I remember there was this one episode with scissors that scared the crap outta me, haha.

I totally agree with you about those classic Disney movies. I loved 'em as a kid, and I still do. :B

Yay, cartoons!

Wooo Tom and Jerry! I still feel very affectionate towards that silly Cat and Mouse duo. :D Some of it was actually dark! Even my dad used to be surprised at the things they got away with on it!

Classic Disney! I always mean to have a proper Disney 'fest with my friends when I'm home but I never do! Maybe I will when I get back! :)

Cartoons for the win!

And now the fic!

the one who took you to your sundrenched world,Gundam Wing

Summary: Sometimes the sun shines so brightly you can't see the cracks appearing around you and that's the way you like it now - drenched in sunlight and blinded. Because this is the world you helped make.

Somedays, you feel like you've never seen the sky before. And you know, you realise how strange it must seem to your fellow Preventers when you leave work on a summer afternoon (for summer holidays are for people who had ordinary lives and work ordinary, number-crunching jobs and don't know what exactly the people on both sides of the war went through) to just...stop, tilt your head back and breathe deeply as if you're trying to drown yourself in the scent of summer; ice-cream and not unpleasantly of sweat and outdoor cooking and beer and exhaust pipes and perfume. You don't care, you've never really cared for what people thought of you, just enjoy these moments of peace and the sun beating down on your face, feeling the stress of the day draining out of your aching neck, slipping over the curve of your spine and dripping down your calves.

It's these little moments at the end of every day that make you remember what it was all for - days of killing and wars of conscience and internal battlefields that were just as bloody and messy as any physical ones. And you get irritated, like a thousand tiny insects buzzing in the back of your head, when you leave work too late for the sunlight and spent the rest of the night in unpleasant form all the way through to the next morning. At least until you get your first cup of caffeine and then things are restored in the world, the buzzing dulls and you refocus on documents and missions and protection rather than destruction.

t-thank you! It's a bit strange but I likes it!

I want to rewatch it too! It was the first anime I ever watched and it's still stupidly special to me. That and I adored Lady Une. :3

Oh, it was the first one I really got into as well (aside from things like Pokemon and Sailor Moon), so I know exactly what you mean. :) I still have a bunch of unbuilt Gundam models somewhere in my closet...heheh.
