1. what one thing (sight/attraction/monument etc. not ppl) do you dare not miss while you're in the states?
I'm not sure! I mean, I just enjoy the travelling and talking to people - I never actually plan things properly! This drives some people mad - especially my poor mum! I'd really, really love to go to a Con and cosplay because I think it'd be awesome, even if I have no clue about costume making or who I'd go as. I really want to go to Central Park once I hit New York because I think that would be a fantastic final (or near final) image of the States to take home with me.
I just want to see things, y'know? And a part of me wants to do something silly like find some of the places mentioned in "American Gods", really, ha ha ha!
2. what languages can you speak / do you want to be able to speak?
What can I speak. English - sometimes not very well! I speak about GCSE level French, a few years of German, not so confident Japanese, a smidgen of Irish/Gaelic and a few words in Polish.
I do wish I could speak most of those better - I'd also love to be able to speak Italian - the way it flows is beautiful and I'd love to be able to sing a few more songs in Irish, I guess!
3. you love sal, but how do you feel about lilly?
I feel pity for Lilly, in the same way I do Sal. When I first read "Echoes" I felt a vague annoyance at her, I could never explain why, but the last time I re-read "Echoes" I saw her as beautiful and sad and tragic. And I have a soft spot for beautiful, sad, tragic figures. So there's the answer! I have a soft spot for the poor girl.
4. what's the dominant emotion when you consider meeting joey in person?
Bubbly, nervous excitement. I am nervous because meeting Joey and oh God, what if I say something wrong or I make a dick out of myself or he doesn't like me or you don't like me - oh God! And excitement because. Well, I've known him...what, 4-5 years now? And I really do want to meet him. Also, it'll be awesome to tell the grandkids one day - "I met Joey Lee and Claire too!" "...Shuttup Granny." XD
5. what's the last good movie you saw?
God, what was even the last movie I saw?! I finally watched "House of Flying Daggers" which was beautifully shot and the music was fabulous but it didn't deeply touch any real heartstrings. Let me think....Oh! The last good film I saw was Grosse Point Blank. John Cusack and Minnie Driver and assassins and snark and Violet Femmes. Loved it really!
....I miss going to the cinema now!
{edit] WHY DO I TELL SUCH LIES?! The last good movie I saw was "Stardust"- duh!
