And then, fucking Sod's Law, of course everyone wants me to go out this weekend. This entire week I barely communicated with people (being locked in your room does that) and have barely heard a word from anyone and then now?
- Films tomorrow night with Andy
- Meeting a guy who could become my Japanese exchange partner tomorrow at 3
- Abi's boyfriend is up so was MEANT to go out for a drink tonight
- Hallowe'en costume stuff to sort
- Meeting Flic tomorrow at 1
- Chinese with the flat tomorrow night

:D You've never heard of Sod's Law? *adjusts scholarly glasses*

Also commonly referred to as "Murphy's Law", the predominant principle of which is that if something could go wrong, it will go wrong and generally at the moment when you need it not to.

Example one: You go out with ID to clubs for about 3 weeks in case you get asked. You don't. The one night you forget said-ID, you get asked. And thus are not allowed into said-club.

Alternatively, people with you forget their ID and your bra becomes forfeit to get them in.

Example two: The one time you really need it not to rain/ not for the battery on your phone to die/ there to be alcohol in the house, it will rain/ phone will die at crucial moment/ last drop of alcohol has just been consumed.

Thus it is law. :D

I feel the same way. I have ALL of my math homework from school this week to make up this weekend, my teacher thinks I should have it all finished by monday even though school policy dictates I have two days to make up work for every one I'm absent. PLUS that Hawthorne essay...*whistles innocently*

Sod's Law is an evil one. I SO know the feeling. =/
But somehow, when it comes to studies in combination with other things, I have found that I work more effectively when I know that I have other appointments.

...Okay, I realise that this sentence above didn't turn out quite as encouraging as I had planned. =^^=
