Teh update
Jun. 28th, 2004 11:54 amBTW "KING LEAR" IS OVAH!!!! OMGWTF?!?!?!
Revising for me consisted of teaching most of my class iambic pentameter, why Shakespear used prose, EXPLAINING the plot to Ashling and then going over every else's quotes with them. People have now insisted I become a teacher.
- Why I hate dress net
This is actually quite short. I had to wear a ball gown on Friday night to play at the Shimna 10th Anniversary ball and under the dress was itchy dress net. It was like fucking sandpaper and I was sitting down most of the night *Wails*
- The Shimna Ball
Hahahahaha; Paddy and Hairy-Tit were *so* drunk. Plus their little 'gay' moment on the dancefloor at midnight = much ratings. Plus there were two ex-students there who were very drunk and if they weren't a couple, dammit they should have been!
Ms. O'Boyle and I were wearing the same dress which was very funny. Connor and I had a fascinating discussion about girls, shoes and why we couldn't understand them and lots of very drunken teachers, students and classroom assistants. All this + food = grand amounts o' ratings.
- Drunken parents
My parents were slightly tipsy. Very funny except when I had to 'shoo' both of them out to the taxi that had been waiting for us for 15 minutes. 0.o
- Shimna students and art
Let's just say that some students cheated and we have proof. Let's just say some wankers didn't do any work but got extensions. This pisses Kathryn off mightly. But it's all being marked by the external moderator today.
- My art
Mrs. Palmer is fascinated with my dissertation on manga next year. Which reminds me, if any of you have old manga comics that you don't read anymore, fancy sending them to me? ^_^ I'm a cheeky bitch.
- June's birthday
June was much amused with her T-shirt. It had a picture of Orlando Bloom on it with "Hopeless Fangirl" written at the top. I wandered across most of Belfast for that top. But she liked it so that was good.
- Belfast
On Thursday June, Jenni and I all went to Belfast. Muchly fun. Except for the rain as we walked from Newcastle to the bus station. We all spend the rest of the day drying off. Not pleasant.
Belfast was fun. We all saw "The Day After Tomorrow" mmmmm Jake Gylenhall...which I enjoyed even if it was slightly "Hooray for humans" The special effects. 0.o Fyuck me. Jenni had to go home after that for a driving lesson but June and I stayed on in Belfast. At 7 we went to see "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I really liked it. It was really offbeat and so different from the usual Jim Carrey movies. June and I tried to sort out the order of events on the bus home.
I was exhausted by the time I reached Downpatrick. (mostly because on Wednesday night I had been up to 1am working on my art and then woke myself up at 5am) so I talked to my mum for an hour. ^_^
- America and this summer
OMFG. Saturday night my godmother Susan (my mum's best friend) phoned. She lives in Boston so phone calls from her are rare but she and I talked and she asked what I was doing for the summer. I told her I was ordered to get a job by mum. She said "why not come over?" I laughed and then she said "put your mum on."
So she and mum talked and Susan has offered to pay for half the flight over for Matt and I. OMG?! My mum, who's going to Turkey with dad about the same time, seems enhusiastic. She even offered to get me a credit card for over there.
I'm not sure if this'll all pan out. If it does, I want to meet you! all of you nut cases. So.
*Salutes* You have just been updated. ^_~
